Lonceng atau bel ini nama aslinya adalah Porch Bell. Didapatkan dari Skotlandia. Seorang teman baik yang kebetulan dapat tugas dari kantornya, travelling ke beberapa Inggris, Wales dan Skotandia. Ketika beliau bertanya mau oleh-oleh apa? Biasanya saya sok terlihat kurang berminat. Padahal sebetulnya sangat berdebar-debar karena saya belum punya koleksi sendok dan gelas mariachi Hard Rock.
Agak lesu ketika dikabarkan teman baik tidak menemukan Hard Rock di Skotlandia. Sebagai pengganti, diperoleh lonceng mungil. Ada tulisan: The Famous Anvil, Gretna Green. Masih ada label harga 12,99 poundsterling. Sekitar Rp 200.000. Menurut ceritanya, the famous anvil Gretna Green adalah souvenir paling khas dari sebuah kota di Skotlandia. Merujuk pada sebuah mitologi jalan yang demikian terkenal. Karena itu, masih cerita teman baik, beberapa teman seperjalanan ingin juga membeli Porch Bell. Namun sayang cuma ada satu, dan tidak ada lagi toko lain yang menjualnya.

Satu-satunya petunjuk adalah istilah Gretna Green pernah dipopulerkan Paramount Pictures Corporation dengan memproduksi film "Gretna Green" pada tahun 1915. Paramount, perusahaan, produsen dan distributor film Amerika Serikat yang bermarkas di Hollywood, California. Mereka adalah perusahaan studio film tertua Amerika Serikat yang masih bertahan. Paramount dimiliki oleh konglomerat media, Viacom.
Yang jelas, Porch Bell The Famous Anvil Gretna Green kini sudah duduk manis di ruang makan. Bersebelahan dengan dinding marmer onyx ukuran 60x90 meter. Klik, hanya butuh satu detik untuk mencopotnya. Dan lima detik untuk memasangnya. So, tanpa pikir panjang, saya langsung order kasa nyamuk magnet ini.
Sungguh kaget karena ternyata lubang yang harus ditempel kasa nyamuk, hampir 20 meter lebih. Mamma mia. Ya, sudah, telanjur basah. Bungkus.

Lonceng Italia
Saya kutipkan langsung dari dolphin blogspot = Lonceng Antik ini biasa digunakan di daerah Eropa (biasanya dipoduksi di Italia, referensi dari artikel yang ada). Di bagian bellnya tertulis kalimat "Vocem meam audi qui me tangit". Bahasa latin, yang artinya ....siapa yang menyentuh saya akan mendengar suara saya.

Terbuat dari kuningan/brass eropa dengan suaranya yang nyaring, jika dibunyikan di daerah sepi dapat terdengar hingga +200 meter, ditemukan di suatu kota tua di daerah pesisir utara Jawa yang dahulu kala merupakan salah satu kota utama perdagangan, saat ditemukan kondisi Bell berlapis debu, berwarna lusuh dan hitam. Ukuran tinggi/panjang kurang lebih 30 cm, cukup besar untuk ukuran bell rumah.
Dari bentuknya yang artistik dapat menambah keindahan rumah. Bagian badan bell, ornamen beserta penyangganya masih asli, hanya rantai penariknya saja yang bukan orisinil. Saya kemudian menemukan rantai tembaga secara tidak sengaja. Berkali-kali saya menitip membeli rantai besi ke beberapa teman. Dari rantai besi, stainles steel hingga rantai biasa. Semuanya gagal. Karena ukurannya terlalu besar dengan bobot berat, jadi terlihat aneh. Sampai kemudian Pak Toto (tukang cat) menawarkan rantai tembaga yang ditemukan secara tidak sengaja di gudangnya. Thanks Pak Toto.
Bell italia itu kini terpasang anggun di tiang Travertine. Bagian bawa terlihat lantai carport dari tegel lama motif langka.
